The Canton Fair takes place every April and October.  Now that it is broken up into 3 phases it allows buyers in really specialised fields the opportunity to walk a more well laid out show with better clustering of exhibitors.   Of course, this show is still much too big to enable buyers to really cover it completely – see the scope of this show on numbers below.    For clients who need to buy a wide range of products they need to spend over a few weeks in Asia to cover all the shows and this represents a really high cost for hotels, travel, staff cost etc…
Exhibition Space: 1,125,000 M2 (105th Session)
Number of Booths: 55,885 standard booths (105th Session)
Business Turnover 26,230 Million USD (105th Session National Pavilion)
Number of Overseas Buyers: 165,436 (105th Session)
Number of Exhibitors: National Pavilion:21,709 exhibitors (105th Session)

ODM provides buying office service for those who cannot afford to spend such a long time in Asia.   We help to provide translators and product spotters for clients also.     Our team at ODM also check specific areas of the shows in Asia to check on IP and patent infringement, nowhere more so than at Canton show.
