A new Intellectual Property Explorer has been launched by the Australian Government Agency, Australia IP, responsible for administering their IP rights system.  The software was an Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation project (See also APEC Cards)

Developed by the Governments of Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore this is part of their work program to help small businesses build their capacity to engage in international trade.

“Many businesses are surprised at how many IP assets they have and how valuable they are…that’s why it is crucial these intangible assets are identified and protected”, says Richard Marles, Australian Parliamentary Secretary for Innovation and Industry.

Patented brandsdesigns and ideas are not reserved to multinational firms anymore. Small businesses should manage their trade marks, patents and other valuable intellectual property assets (IP) through this tool.  Start with their simple process….
