Following our post on the mechanics behind the Bladeless fan that we learnt during the Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2012, here is a miniature version of the product that brings technology to a whole new level due to its portability!

Portable Bladeless fan

ODM loves this product because it can be either USB or battery operated and comes in 4 colours; Pink, blue orange and white. Alternatively, if you would like to customize your own printing or colour on the fan, you may do so as you wish.

This item could be branded with your logo on the rim or body of the fan. Thus, amplifying marketing efforts and heightening brand recall. There are different types of branding that can be used on the gift such as laser engraving or decal logo.

Labour Day Holiday 2012

This coming Tuesday, the 1^st of May, is Labour Day – a public holiday in Hong Kong, China as well as Singapore. As such, all our offices will be closed and would only reopen the following day.

Labour Day, also known as May Day and International Worker’s Day in other countries, remembers the various protests and riots organized by workers in different parts of the world every other year on the 1^st of May, to fight for better work-life balance and working environments.

This official holiday for workers is usually honored by featuring elaborate military parades but in some parts of world, by political protests and rallies. However, most workers would take this day as a break from a hectic week at work.

Do note that despite nearly every country celebrates this National holiday on the 1^st of May, Canada and America commemorates this day on the 3^rd of September.

Our Hong Kong staff will be looking forward to this holiday as well because it will be a day off since our exhibition at the Gifts and Premium Fair 2012, held from 27th to 30th April 2012. If you are coming down for the fair, do visit us at our booth 3G-G32.

Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2012: Bladeless fan

Last week, a few of our ODM staff went down to the spring edition Hong Kong Electronics Fair where we spotted this interesting product and learnt about the features and mechanisms behind it.

Another Bladeless fan! This product, unlike typical fans, does not have a blade that churns out wind. Instead, it has turbojet that draws in and projects air out through an airfoil shaped ramp at high speeds and can rotate up to 90degrees.

The fan is very user friendly as well as safe – there are no spinning blades that might pose a threat when one is cleaning the fan. There is also a touch tilt function that enables the fan to stay put at the angle it is tilted at. The dynamics behind this is because the bladeless fan has a low center of gravity that makes it more stable than conventional ones.

ODM loves this fan because you are able to customize the shape of the fan. This works especially well if your brand has a circular or oval shaped logo.

However, if your company does not have one, do not worry as there is a space on the fan encasement that you can print your logo on. Some ways you can do so are laser engraving, decal logo and acid etching.
