For every bottle of Oatmeal purchased, customers will get a microwavable Quaker Oat Mug for free. This promotional gift will certainly come in handy for all consumers. They could use this promotional item to heat up their oatmeal anytime they want to consume it, a very conventional item indeed.

Microwavable promotional products are more expensive and this GWP helps add value to the purchase and increase the perceived value of this promo. Together with logo printed on this item, this is perhaps the best marketing strategy implemented by Quaker.

They are actually proposing two different promotional products : the patron can opt to have a free mug or retro alarm for every 600 or 900 HK$ spent in their stores.

As you can see in the picture, the mug is a only branded with The Beatles logo, there is no :CHOCOOLATE logo anywhere. It’s a pity because this mug is a very cool product and can be used in many ways: as a coffee cup or as a pen/toothbrush holder.

Basic items act as very good incentive products as they encourage customers to spend more in their stores to get the gift.

We usually love retro products and this old-school alarm branded with the Beatles logo on it is really simple yet cool.

But once again, no :CHOCOOLATE logo on it. Basically, these two products are more of collectibles (or Beatles goodies) than real promogifts.

Last but not least, if you didn’t already notice, this McCafe cup highlights a special feature – While it can withstand strong heat, the rubberized material acts as an insulator as well! Hence, it is definitely a great addition to your kitchenware! Also, such an incentive product can be kept for a long period of time, ensuring long-term visibility.

It is very easy to get one of these promogifts as customers have two different options. They can just spend the points collected on Nestlé’s products pack, then add an extra 3 EUR.   Alternatively they can buy this 30cm plush directly for 10 EUR.

Free gifts are usually more impactful so we think that it would have been probably better to offer some pens or smallers plush for free as gifts with purchase. The fact that the client has to pay this extra amount of money is not really appealing.
