The box is printed with the brand’s logo in gold. Of course one could easily imagine ways of further customizing and individualizing both the glasses and the case : engraving, customizing the shape of the box, bottle coats etc.

The French Champagne brand, Veuve Clicquot is encouraging Duty Free Shoppers to buy their drinks this Christmas - special packaging for its bottles really makes these an excellent gift. Rather than use basic and boring carton boxes to package its bottles, it prefers these elegant cloth bags.

What makes these bags great advertising agents for the brand is that:

They are banded with Veuve clicquot brand and colored with their bright yellow

Here is an example ODM found in one of the Venetian’s duty free stores in Macau. As usual with duty free stores there were over 50 different brands of spirit on sale in the same small space. But Absolut Vodka was by far the most eye striking thanks to the red sequin coat its vodka bottle was displayed in. It made a great advertising agent for the brand. In fact, sometimes a one off special packaging can be more efficient marketing tool then a generalized gift on purchase campaign.

ODM staff have lots of promotional ideas to share from the HK Wine and Spirits Fair which was held earlier this month. At one of the booths, we spotted the following items that can be interesting for promotions: apron, corkscrew and baseball cap.

The Hong Kong Wine & Spirits Fair does not rely only on its almost 1000 exhibitors from around the world to attract visitors, buyers and attention. Indeed, it has launched some impressive promotional event campaigns to pull in furthermore more clients.

After having myself been to the show, I testify of the efficiency of these events, notably the non stop Italian cooking demonstrations. It brought crowds of people to the hall in which was located. they attract potential new customers directly to the product
generally more marking to customers than a discount or minor promotional gift
